An experienced founder and software engineer with a deep passion for AI and developer tools, Omar has spent the last decade building innovative products.
Prior to Ficra, Omar founded Sawa, a venture-backed Web3 marketplace and Pistachio, a tool that helps developers assess the quality of AI integrations.
As an early engineering hire and Tech Lead at Voicea (acquired by Cisco), he played a pivotal role in developing core AI assistant features, including patented chat-based interactions and voice commands.
Before Voicea, Omar was a software engineer at Apple, where he was recruited following the success of his first mobile app company, flagtag.
Omar holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
Mo Abid Co-founder
A seasoned product leader and designer, Mo has a proven track record of scaling and exiting companies in the mobile app and AI space.
Prior to Ficra, Mo was CEO of Salams where he scaled the platform to millions of users globally, driving significant ARR while maintaining profitability and selling it to a publicly traded company.
Mo was Director of Product Design at Voicea (acquired by Cisco) where he was responsible for designing the first-ever AI assistant specifically designed for meetings (before AI was cool).
As a Product Designer at Facebook, he was a founding member of the first Design Systems Team. He also spent time designing systems at Bloomberg and Tesla.
Mo holds a Master's in Human-Computer-Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Economics from Stanford University.
